An Auckland Lone Star restaurant removed an ad for wait staff from the No Jab Jobs website.

Lone Star New Lynn posted the ad on the site four days ago, saying the family-run restaurant “will not discriminate in employing or serving our customers.”

On Wednesday, the job offer was deleted.

Lone Star owner New Lynn, Brendan Pascoe, and the Lone Star franchise have been approached for comment.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has revealed that Auckland and some regions with low vaccination rates will enter the new Covid-19 protection framework at the red setting, with the rest of the country doing so at the orange setting.

The No Jab Jobs website was created to help unvaccinated people quit their jobs because of their immunization status, find employers willing to hire them.

In October, Wilson’s Parking reiterated its support for the Covid-19 vaccination after a bogus parking enforcement officer posted on No Jab Jobs.

From Friday, restaurants, bars and cafes can open their doors to vaccinated customers, while reception staff must be vaccinated to work.

The New Lynn Lone Star restaurant will enter the red traffic light system, along with the rest of Auckland, and will be able to serve up to 100 people.

But vaccine passes must be presented and verification is advised.

If businesses don’t comply with the My Vaccine Pass requirements, they can only offer a contactless service and can’t open under the red and orange settings at all, unless they offer take-out.
